BeHardyPink is a fundraiser event that was founded by the owner Michelle Hardy in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) with the vision of making an impact on various women's (and men's) lives, through raising funds to help support the cause. It is stated that 1 in 8 Women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, along with this type of cancer being leading cause of death related to women, and it can also affect the male population as well. Being that women are at a higher risk, it is suggested that women learn the importance of a monthly breast self-exam to allow familiarity with their breast tissue and appearance, in which if a change were to occur, it will be noticed immediately. Originally known as The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation that is also known to be the "largest and best-funded breast cancer organization in the United States." A portion of this fundraiser's proceeds (T-Shirts & Pullovers in Be-Apparel w/Pink Logo) will be donated to the Susan G.
